I believe that Massage Therapy is a practice that targets the whole body, physical, mental and emotional. Massage Therapy is about preventing injury and maintaining health and all the amazing side effects that come with it.
Whether it’s helping them achieve their race goals, keeping them in a space where they can play pain free with their children or giving them a space to connect with no judgment. Massage Therapy means impacting someone’s life in a meaningful way.
Yes, we do it with touch, pressure, power and movement but we also do it with confidence, communication, compassion and care.
Massage Therapy is also about empowerment and education. Part of our jobs is to educate our clients on their bodies, their pain and their movement. They come to us for guidance on how to relieve their pain but it’s our job to educate them on how to prevent it.
We are given the opportunity to empower our clients by teaching body awareness and helping them understand how their day to day movements are linked to their pain and how they make changes to alleviate it. Massage Therapy has so many benefits and pretty much anyone can benefit from getting regular treatments.
No matter what your goals are, hiking Mount Everest, running a 5km or getting rid of your headaches, Massage Therapy is where it’s at!
